A new house allows the plan to begin from the site rather than from an inherited layout: orientation, ground, access and the position of shade come first.
Industrialised construction is treated as a means — accuracy, programme, control of cost — not as a style. The house should not look prefabricated; it should be well built.
A new house begins with the plot: access, level changes, neighbours, the direction of the wind and where shade will be needed at five in the afternoon. The urban parameters — buildable area, setbacks, occupation — are read as material for the project rather than as a limit to negotiate later.
Interiors are designed with the architecture, which changes the construction. Cabinets, lighting, ventilation and services appear in the building drawings, so the house is not opened again after handover to correct them.
Where industrialised or prefabricated systems suit the project, they are used for accuracy and programme: a shorter site, a controlled budget and a dry, repeatable assembly. The finished house is not meant to look industrialised; it is meant to be well built.
The studio follows the works to the end, with weekly site visits and a single set of drawings shared by builder, carpenter and installer.
